Village Board Minutes

Members Attending: Mayor Alan Higgins, Trustee Benjamin Sommers, and Trustee Anita Ayres

Also Attending: Kathleen Hilbert, Clerk/Treasurer, Joseph Myers, Water Department and Todd Murphy, Sewer Department

Mayor Higgins opened the meeting of The Village of Hunter Board of Trustees.

Mayor Higgins – The purpose of this meeting is to pay our bills and to schedule a public hearing for our proposed budget. We all have a copy of the abstracts.

Trustee Sommers was in the Hunter Village Hall yesterday, April 21, 2020. He reviewed, approved and ordered all claims be paid from the appropriations indicated by signing his name as a member of the Auditing Board in the Approval for Payment section of each voucher.

Mayor Higgins – I make a motion to pay the bills according to the final Abstracts that we have received from the Clerk. Do I hear a second? Second by Trustee Sommers. The motion was put to a vote. All were in favor. Motion was carried.

Mayor Higgins: If everyone is in agreement, I make a motion to schedule a Public Hearing for the budget on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 4:00PM. That will be a fifteen-minute public hearing. Do I hear a second on that motion? Second by Trustee Sommers. The motion was put to a vote. All were in favor. Motion was carried.

Mayor Higgins. I would like to make a motion that we schedule a Special Meeting to adopt the budget at 4:15PM on April 30, 2020. Do I hear a second on that motion? Second by Trustee Ayres. The motion was put to a vote. All were in favor. Motion was carried.

Trustee Ayres asked about Sean Mahoney using our bucket truck to hang graduation banners. Clerk Hilbert – The Mayor gave approval at the April 13, 2020 Town of Hunter Health Meeting.

Mayor Higgins – I would like to make a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Trustee Ayres. The motion was put to a vote. All were in favor. Meeting was adjourned.
